PROGRESS


The Potsdam Research Cluster for Georisk Analysis, Environmental Change and Sustainability (PROGRESS; www.earth-in-progress.de) is a joint project of university and external organizations in the region of Potsdam-Berlin, which provides a new momentum in the international Geohazards-, Climate impact- and Governaceresearch and supplies an internationally visible platform for research and technology in addition to establishing education and training, as well as consulting. PROGRESS links the internationally recognized capabilities of the Potsdam Geo and Climate research using methods of modern politics and social and administrative sciences.


This interdisciplinary approach of the project will combine technological innovation in the Geo-monitoring of innovative communication and implementation strategies in information transfer of geographic and climate knowledge to decision makers. Here, the network will work closely with international partners from industry, government agencies and NGOs.
